Common questions
Which hardware do I need? At minimum, the client plus one backend: the SDR-SLC HF transceiver, an RTL-SDR, or a BladeRF. See Ecosystem for how they fit together.
Does it do HF and VHF/UHF? Yes. The same client drives HF (via the HF transceiver) and VHF/UHF (via a BladeRF). Choose the backend for the bands you want.
Which macOS version do I need? macOS Tahoe or later.
Is everything paid? No. Only the client, and only to keep App Store distribution painless. The hardware, daemons, codec server, and specifications are all free and open source.
How do I connect to my radio? Over your local network. Devices announce themselves via Bonjour, so the client can usually list your radio automatically.
Reporting a problem
When you get in touch, please include: what you did and what happened instead; your SDR-SLC client and macOS versions; which backend you were using and how it is connected; and any error message or screenshot.
For the open-source components, issues and contributions are welcome on their GitHub project pages.
