Software
Daemons and codec server
Three small, open-source programs that connect off-the-shelf hardware and digital-voice codecs to the SDR-SLC client. Each one presents its device to the client as a standard SLC backend.
RTL-SDR daemon
Turns an inexpensive RTL-SDR dongle into an SLC receiver. A genuinely low-cost way to get a wideband receiver on screen alongside your main rig.
BladeRF daemon
Brings a BladeRF online as an SLC backend, adding wideband VHF/UHF coverage with transmit, for example 2 m and 70 cm work.
Codec server
Handles the digital-voice codecs the client uses for D-STAR, YSF and DMR, so encoding and decoding stay fast and out of the client’s way.
